The Stanley Hotel Panorama

The Stanley Hotel Panorama Art print

If you are ever in Estes Park Colorado, The Stanley Hotel is a must see.  Last trip up  to RMNP I thought I’d do a wide angle shot of the front of the hotel.  There are mountains all around this incredible landmark that was the inspiration for the Book “The Shining”, and the view from the front of the hotel gives a view of Rocky Mountain National Park snow covered peaks.  Custom Colorado fine art prints available online –  The Stanley Hotel Panorama

It was built by Freelan Oscar Stanley of Stanley Steamer fame and opened on July 4, 1909, catering to the rich and famous, including the RMS Titanic survivor Margaret Brown, John Philip Sousa, Theodore Roosevelt, the Emperor and Empress of Japan, and a variety of Hollywood personalities. The hotel and its surrounding lands are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
