Roland Byrd – Biography

Roland Byrd

Roland is the author of five books. He is a Proud Father, Husband, Network Engineer, Martial Artist, Skateboarder, Fitness Nut, and Student of Life. He fell in love with reading at an early age and devoured all the science fiction and fantasy books he could get his hands on. His love for reading led to a passion for writing.

Roland spent many years working as everything from a high-rise window cleaner to a buss boy. He finally settled into the IT industry in 2000. Through it all, Roland’s passion for writing never waned. Finally, when he started learning to believe in himself, he began to write in earnest.

Roland writes Science Fiction and Fantasy stories and novels as well as Self-Help and Transformational books. For his personal development books, Roland draws on his own life experiences and personal transformation to help other’s discover how they too can live their passion and become their best selves.

Like many people Roland came from a troubled past. After hitting the “absolute bottom of his life”, he discovered how to break free of the patterns and programming he was living. This personal evolution ignited his desire to help others learn to change their lives by transforming themselves from the inside.

“Your world is only as big as you allow it to be.” – Roland Byrd

James “Bo” Insogna – Biography

James "Bo" Insogna

James “Bo” Insogna, (“Bo” is his nickname) was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. Bo is a full time Professional Photographer located and based in Boulder County, Colorado. He specializes in Professional Family and Senior Portraits, Commercial Photography, and Stock Photography. Bo is also a passionate Storm Chaser, Nature Lover, and Professional Fine Art Photographer.

After studying with the New York Institute of Photography, Bo opened a commercial photography studio in 1984—in downtown Boulder, Colorado. There he shot for local businesses, magazines and newspapers. He also had the opportunity to shoot for the Bicycle Guide Magazine for the “Coors International Bicycle Classic”.

In 1987 the economy in Colorado tanked. So Bo made an inspired move to Scottsdale Arizona. While there he was the head staff photographer for the “Phoenician Arabian Magazine”. Bo shot and designed the covers for the magazine. He also had a column called “Bo Trek”. These ventures gave Bo the unique pleasure of photographing beautiful Arabian Horses, their riders, and trainers.

1987 was also the first time Bo witness and photographed the power of lightning storms as they split the sky. Enthralled by the experience, he became a storm chaser. Thus “Arizona Lightning”, “TheLightningMan” and “Striking Photography By Bo” were born.

A lot has changed since then. When Bo took up storm chasing and photography they were shooting with film and there were only a handful of lightning photographers. Over the years, many new “Chasers” have contacted Bo and hopefully been inspired by his Lightning Work.

During this time, one of Bo’s images “Operation Desert Storm” was chosen by The Arizona Vietnam Vets for the Desert Storm Memorial Fund.

In 2007 Bo moved back to Colorado. He settled in Longmont—NE Boulder County just outside of Boulder—where he opened a Photography Studio in his home.

Bo’s prints have been purchased by collectors from all over the world and have been featured on Television, in Magazines, Newspapers, and Books. They have also been licensed for all kinds of media.

One of Bo’s images was even purchased and licensed to The Hit TV show “In Plain Sight”. He also had the honor of being feature in the Russian Version of “Photographer Magazine”
