This is one of my favorite lakes in Boulder County Colorado. Years ago it was known as the nudie lake, back in the Boulder Hippie days. Coot lake is near IBM on 63rd street. As I took off for my evening magic hour of photo shooting I noticed there was very little wind, these are the kind of nights photographers love because lake can be like glass with incredible reflections. When I got to Coot the was a breeze the went up and down, it was a very mellow sunset that produced a very little color and most of it was about 10 minutes after sunset. You never know how it is going to go because it depends on how close the cloud bank is to the Rocky Mountain Continental divide.
