Lightning striking the McDowell Mountains in Scottsdale Arizona. This monsoon lightning thunderstorm came over the mountain and the bolts of lightning started striking the top and walked down all the high points heading east into the desert floor of the valley.
I parked and climbed up a bluff to get a good view and shot. This was a fantastic view until I realized I was in the path of the storm and also a high spot with a lightning rod in my hand. The storm came right at me and I climbed out of this one on my belly and could not get out of here quick enough. (C) James Bo Insogna
