The Great Western Sugar Company’s sugar mills, used to process sugar beets into refined sugar, Longmont, Colorado. Boulder County. The sugar mill was built in 1905 and remained in use until 1980. The mill has its own rail yard and employed a small 0-4-0 steam locomotive, and in later years a small diesel as well, to move cars around the plant. Today the mill stands vacant and in much disrepair. Fine art photography prints, canvas art, acrylic prints and stock images by By James Bo Insogna (C ) 2012 – All Rights Reserved 1-888-682-0122
